Prince William on Motorcycle? – The Ducati 1198S, fit for a King..well, a Prince at least!

Prince William riding a Ducati 1198S Superbike Motorcycle….really?

Prince william on ducati motorcyclePrince William and Kate Middleton have been all over the headlines recently and to be quite honest, I’m not at all interested in either of them. However, what does interest me is an article I was sent recently about Prince William riding a motorcycle. At first, I didn’t believe it and not only because it was written by The Sun newspaper, but because I’ve never once heard a whisper about Prince William’s interest in Motorcycles.

Clearly however, he has impeccable taste as this photo clearly shows Prince William riding a Ducati 1198S Superbike, which at around 170bhp, is not to be sneered at. Above is a picture of Prince William riding his Ducati 1198S home after a little kick around.

“I’d like to point out that the dark tinted visor he has fitted to his helmet is actually illegal in the UK, I only know cos’ I got one too!!”

Prince William’s Motorbike is a Ducati 1198S

Prince William’s Ducati 1198S is about as super as superbikes get. It’s pretty much at the top of the Ducati food chain and costs around £17-18K. Still, he is heir to be King of England one day and money isn’t really an issue. Prince William on one of the world’s most powerful road bikes, really?!?!? Considering how his mother died and his long term plans to be King, you would have thought Prince William wouldn’t even be allowed on a motorcycle, let alone a Ducati 1198S!!!. Saying that, he is a helicopter pilot for the British RAF which is arguably a helluva’lot more dangerous.

“Capable of reaching a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h) and sprint from naught to 60 mph (98 km/h) in around 3 seconds.”

If you were a Prince…and you had all the money in the world..what bike would you get? I can’t think of a better choice to be honest and Prince William has gained some kudos points in my eyes. RAH!!!
